If only it was that easy to hand out band aids. We have to have a refusal report completed on each time we hand out a band aid at an event. However I still don’t mind handing out band aids to people.
Ugh…that’s awful Jeff. It’s unfortunate that many systems are to afraid to let their people use good judgement when deciding who is and who is not a patient. You should be able to hand out a band-aid without writing up a full trip sheet. Unfortunately, in the name of, “protecting ourselves from (imaginary) liability” we are sometimes willing to go to ridiculous extremes.
