This is awesome. Our investigation into and reporting of the pt's illness is often our most powerful intervention.

Hello
Really interesting. I have been reading a lot about empathy recently and it seems we are not so good at estimating the pain of others. At home and pre-med school I would flinch when I saw something painful, but when in work I respond in a more detached way. Does that make it easier or harder for me to do my job well?
I wil post more on my own blog about this in the next few weeks I hope.
So I guess that the eskimos all really do have the same experience of the snow but understanding the pain of an other is harder.
